From the heart of Florence to a villa in the hills, all the magic of this American couple’s wedding with Italian roots.

What happens when classic Italian tradition meets the playful spirit of a destination wedding? Jimmy and Sarah, an American couple deeply in love with Florence, created a day that was both grand and wonderfully intimate.

The journey began with a solemn Catholic ceremony at the historic Chiesa dei Santi Apostoli, one of the oldest and most atmospheric churches in the center of Florence, just steps from the Arno river. After the “I do,” we embraced the city’s vibrant energy. Jimmy and Sarah took a romantic stroll through the narrow Florentine alleys, stopping for a gelato just like true tourists—a spontaneous and joyful moment that added a touch of “Dolce Vita” to their cinematic wedding film.

The celebration then moved to the hills at Villa Agape. After a sophisticated aperitivo, the couple made a grand entrance down the villa’s stone staircases to join their guests for a dinner in the elegant courtyard. Following deeply emotional speeches, the party moved to the lower gardens for a spectacular cake cutting to the upbeat notes of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”

The night culminated in a series of unforgettable dances, opened by their first dance to the soul-stirring notes of “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole—the very song I chose to open their wedding film. As a Florence wedding videographer, capturing this balance between sacred traditions and pure fun was a dream.
